Directions for making Oliebollen
(Makes approximately 50 Oliebollen).
1 Bag Complete Oliebollen Mix
4 cups luke warm water
2 cups raisins (soak in water for 30 minutes before mixing)
Place the Oliebollen mix and lukewarm water in a mixing bowl. Mix with a whisk or mixer with dough hooks until its lump-free. Mix in soaked raisins if desired. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a damp cloth and leave the batter in a warm place to rise for 30-40 minutes.
After rising, stir the batter very carefully. Scoop the balls with a slightly damp ice-cream scoop and let them slide carefully into the hot oil. Fry the Oliebollen about 4 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oil and place on paper towel.
