This true farmstead gouda is made by the Van Blokland family. Their farm and cheese house are nestled on the most recognized fertile farmlands of Holland - Flevoland.
The herd of 170 holstein-friesian cows graze on these lush lands for 6+ hours a day and yield a very rich, buttery milk — perfect for making raw milk gouda.
What makes this cheese even more remarkable is its generous sprinkling of Italian black summer truffles. These truffles are harvested by dogs in the heart of Italy. No machines used, everything is by hand!
